Street medics provide basic first aid at large events or actions on a volunteer basis. The medics we work with all have completed at least a 20-hour street medic training. To get an idea of what kinds of events we medic, check out our event reportbacks page.

If requesting medical support for an event we will be asking the following information:

• What event/action is it?
• Are you looking for street medics to add to an existing team, or do you want the street medic collective to organize
• Do you expect police presence?
• Do you expect for participants to be arrested?
• In a general figure, how many people are you expecting?
• Do any participants have known allergies or pre-existing conditions?
• If applicable, what is the sponsoring organization?
• Would you be able to provide supplies, or should medics bring their own equipment?
• When and where the event will take place
• Does this action/event reflect an anti-oppression, grassroots or community based mode of thought?

About the Information you Provide

Our organization operates on a completely volunteer basis and will never solicit funds for our services, though donations are always welcome. Our members provide our own equipment which can be expensive, and if the event is large, we appreciate when some medical equipment is provided.

All information that you give us is completely confidential, though applicants should not include information that may put individuals, groups or actions at risk of arrest or police interference.

If you feel uncomfortable providing information online, and depending on the circumstance, you can request to talk with us in person or over the phone.
